SURPRISE!!!!

On Saturday, I with the help of family, threw a surprise 40th birthday party for my Aunt Marcy. And let me tell you, she was surprised.
We had the party at the fire company right down the road from the farm at my grandparents. We told her that she was going out for dinner and that Gremmy was going to watch the boys, so she had to drop them off at the fire company for a party that Gremmy was at. Well little did she know it was her party. There were close to 100 people there. We had a great time. She really deserved it. She is the type of person who would do anything for anyone. She has such an amazing heart!!! I'll tell you more about her on her birthday, which is coming up very quickly. You won't be 39 that much longer!!
Baby Mia and I. I can't believe how big she is getting!

Alexis did not want to get her picture taken with me. This was the best her mommy could do!! I'll get her the next time!!!

My Poor Baby

Last Monday Tabber got spayed. We also got the chip put in her, so that if she gets lost she can be taken to any vet and they can scan her chip and call us. It's pretty cool. I wanted to put these pics up earlier but forgot.

We took the cone off on that Monday night so she could sleep easier. She's doing really good. She goes back to the vet on the 5th of February to get her staples out. I told Jimmy, that I will not be in the room when they take the staples out.

Celebrating a Life

It seems rather hard to believe that a year has come and gone. Last year this day my grandfather passed away from a hard battle with cancer. He was a one of a kind man. He would anything and everything he could for his family, they were his first priority. Farming was his life. You would always see him driving around on the farm in his truck with one window down looking at the crops with his sidekick dog in the truck with him. He loved to golf and hunt, even hunting and golfing while battling his sickness.

There are so many moments we shared that I hold very near and dear to my heart. Stories of hunting together, training me for the Olympics, working on the farm, driving in the Mac trucks with him on short trips, going on the Alaska cruise and so many more.

Sometimes it still doesn't seem real that he is not around. We always thought he would be there, forever. He is around though, in our hearts and our memories of him.

So today, celebrate life!! Celebrate family!! Celebrate the memories you have!! I know I sure will!!

Sleeping Like a Baby

Sometimes when Tabber sleeps, she sleeps in funny positions. Or she just curls up in a little ball. Either way, she's adorable when she's sleeping, and even when she isn't.

A Baby's Tooth

So who knew that puppies lose their teeth. Well up until we got Tabber I had no clue. I guess it really makes sense, we as humans lose our baby teeth and then get adult teeth. The vet said that she (Tabber) would start losing her teeth and that you might notice that her gums might get bloody. Not to worry. She said that most of the time they actually swallow their teeth when they are eating, so the chances of finding them are slim to none.

We noticed Tabber had lost one and that a bunch more were loose. It started to add up when I noticed she was chewing on things a lot more and she was having a hard time chewing on harder things. We would look every once in a while to see how many were left and the number kept getting smaller and smaller. We, or should I say Jimmy, tried pulling them himself, but when she started to whine I said "No way!!"

You see, Wendy, Jimmy's sister, got us a puppy scrapbook for Christmas. It has lots of places for puppy pictures. So we thought it would be a good idea to get a puppy tooth that we could put in. Easier said then done. We were running out of teeth. Then last night it happened. Jimmy was going to pull one because it was really loose and I said "No" just let it go. We were playing around and I looked in her mouth a little later and that last loose tooth was gone, she lost it!! We thought, oh great, that was our last chance. So we got on our hands and knees looking everywhere she was for this tooth. Looked in her food bowl, in the shoes she was eating (we have to stop that habit) and looked around the chewie toy she was playing with, NOTHING! I was determined to find this tooth, well unless she swallowed it. After crawling around a little more I found it!!!!

(It's a little blurry b/c it is so small and I could only get so close.)

YAY!!!! Now we have one of her baby teeth for her scrapbook. Next item, a piece of her fur when she gets her first haircut, or should I say "furcut," I crack myself up.
