When will it be SPRING?!?!?!?!?!

This is a picture of the BEAUTIFUL flowers I got for Easter. The yellow ones are from Ma and Pa Keller, the pink/purple tulips are from my Goddaughter Julia. She bought the flowers all by herself. She paid with her money and picked them out herself. She was very proud of them, which she should be, they are beautiful. You have to see them in person though to see the serrated. Which makes them even cooler yet.
These beautiful flowers make me think of spring, but oh wait, where is it?!?! When will spring come?!?!?! I'm tired of this gloomy and rainy weather. I wish it was just sunny already. I'm glad that there isn't any snow though. I'm ready to wear short sleeved shirts and go mountain biking. I want the SUNSHINE!!!!!!!!!!

Good Egg Hider

So last night my Aunt Marcy called me and left me a message to call her back because she had a funny story to tell me. I called her back and she was telling me how they drove from the farm on Sunday and then Monday they drove to Allentown. They were walking out of Sears and she looks at the car and she sees this purple thing. Well, it just so happened to be an Easter egg. Jimmy and I had to hide the Easter eggs at the farm on Sunday and Jimmy hid one of the front of their car. With all the driving they did, it still managed to be there. Jimmy is good at hiding eggs.

We used plastic eggs at the farm, and Gremmy had us put a quarter in all of the eggs. In one of the eggs, the "special" egg there was a penny. And who ever got the "special" egg got a solid chocolate bunny. Jimmy and I were trying to think of a really good hiding spot for this egg. We had three different sized eggs, so we put the penny in the smallest and put that egg in the medium egg, and then put both eggs in a large egg. We were having a hard time deciding where to put the egg. Until I thought about hiding it in my back pocket. I was going to keep my back away from the kids while they were hunting the eggs. I was doing good, until I started to help them find the eggs. They noticed it then. Brett was the first one to say something so he got the lucky egg and the solid chocolate bunny.

What a Great Easter

Jimmy and I had an awesome Easter with both of our families. On Saturday we went to Bloomsburg and had lunch with his family. Everyone was there and there was lots of food. Later in the afternoon, we had an egg hunt for the kids. They did a great job and found all of the eggs. At the end of the night, Jimmy, his mom, and I played a little poker. Now, I'm not a poker player but I held my own, up until the very last hand. Jimmy beat me. What the heck, he can't let his mom or girlfriend win. Well we decided that it's on next time.

On Sunday, we went to the Frey house and ate lunch there. This year it was a small gathering, 19. But we had food to feed about 50. The food was great!
Mom and Gremmy did an awesome job. Jimmy and I got lots of chocolate!! And boy is it yummy!! After the big egg hunt at my Great Aunt's house, they hide like a million eggs, no really!! And an egg hunt at the farm we played a very intense game of Scrabble.

All in all we had a great Easter with everyone. We are probably about 20 pounds fatter each. Now it's back to the diet grindstone. And back to school for Jimmy.

A Visit From the Girls

On Monday Wendy, Kara and Sara came up to visit us. This was the first time they came to visit since we've moved to Mayfield. The girls were so cute. Sara just loves being in front of the camera. You can not take a picture of her without her trying to see the picture before you actually take it. Wendy brought egg coloring stuff up so Jimmy and Kara colored some Easter eggs. The only minor problem, was well, she forgot to bring the eggs with. We had eggs here at the house, so we just used those. They were brown. Hey, it still worked. The eggs look great. We had a great time spending the day with the girls. We can not wait till the come and visit again!!

Little Bit of a Let Down

Since we've moved up here I've had a bunch of people tell me that you need to go to the Scranton St. Patty's Day Parade. That it's the best around and that it's awesome. Today, Jimmy and I ventured into Scranton for the parade. We weren't really sure where to park, but we found a parking spot without a problem. We waited for the parade to start and once it got started I was rather excited.

Well to be quite honest, I don't think it was all that great. It seemed to be the slowest moving parade ever. There were such gaps between everything. You would see a banner for a group and 5 minutes later the group would come through. We hardly saw any floats. It was a lot of random groups and people just walking. Nothing out of the ordinary. Now we did get to see the Philly Fanatic though. There was a group of young college kids who were standing next to us that were very obnoxious. They were walking out in the street and making it really hard to see the parade. Goodness, who old am I getting!!! I was definitely disappointed. We ended up leaving early cause it was pretty cold and it was boring. But at least we can say that we were there. The only good thing, I got to wear lots of green!! I do love me some green!!!

Go Back In Time

Call me crazy, I know, but after last weekend I really wish I could go back in time. Last weekend I got to go home for the weekend and judge cheerleading tryouts for my high school. Being there with my old coaches and some of the girls I cheered in high school with made me really miss being in high school. We talked about how things have changed so much since when I was on the squad and we had tryouts and what we had to do and wear.

Then later that night I met up with two of my best friends from high school, Ang and Alicia. We were talking about school and about being in the band and all the fun memories we had. So we decided to look for the band alumni page. We found it and read what some of the alumni had to say about what their best memories were from band. Then we started thinking about out best memories. Parades, football games, the trip to the Cherry Blossom parade, band camp, bus rides, Boyertown, the Land of the Running Water Adjudication and so many more. Times like that makes me wish I could go back to high school and live it all over again. Having no worries, enjoying the time with friends. Especially knowing now, what I didn't know then. If I knew I wouldn't see my friends as much now as I did back then, I would've cherished that time a whole lot more. I would've tried to bottle all of those moments up and keep them forever. Yet, at the same time looking back I wouldn't change any of it for anything in the world. Those moments and times got me to where I am today.

Why I have the best boyfriend in the world

So today I came home from being away since Thursday and there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the table with a card and a plastic egg. I opened the card and Jimmy wrote some sweet stuff in it. Then he said maybe I should open the egg. I open the egg and there was a piece of paper in it with a clue. I read the clue which led me to Jimmy's bookbag, inside his bookbag was a little bag of trail mix and another egg. The clue in this egg lead me to my "dresser" . Which well is actually a cardboard box that has all my t-shirts and workout clothes in it. Then the egg in the "dresser" led me to the washer. The clue in the washer led me to the fridge where there was a pack of Reese's peanut butter cups. The egg in the fridge led me to the car, and inside the car was the little stuffed animal. There was an egg in the card. The egg had a "Fat Pass" in it. See Jimmy created a Biggest Loser competition for his family. So we have been dieting since January. The compeition goes until June. So we are watching what we are eating and working out cause we weigh in the beginning of every month. The "Fat Pass" allows us to eat whenever, wherever, and whatever I want on three occaisions. On the "pass" I have to write down the date and what we ate. The only stipulation is that whatever we eat, we have to enjoy.
What a sweet, romantic, and thoughful way to end my weekend. I sure do have the bestest boyfriend in the world. I love him to pieces with all my heart and soul!!!

Concert

So last night I went to see Jeremy Camp and Toby Mac in concert at Hershey. What an amazing concert!! They both are amazing performers and not only that, but their words and preaching is so heartfelt and you can tell they aren't there just to sing songs and dance around, but there are there to praise the Lord. We had an amazing time. We were pretty close to the stage, but I forgot my camera, so I don't have any pictures to post. But I just wanted to say how awesome it was to be there!!

It's Sarah Louise's Birthday Today

Today one of my best friends from high school, Sarah Snyder, celebrates her birthday. So this blog is dedicated to her.

Sarah moved to Tamaqua during Junior of high school. And as soon as we met and started talking we became best friends. I had invited Sarah to come to wing night (it was the place to go during high school). She said she would come and would pick me up. On our way to wing night we were listening to music and I recognized the band that was playing and realized that Sarah and I had a lot more in common than I thought. We started talking about the Newsboys and Creation and so much more.

The following summer Sarah went to Creation with my church and family. I thought after that trip that she would never go again, what a trip. But she did. And every year she went we had a blast and our friendship became stronger and stronger. During high school our friendship continued to grow. After graduation, Sarah went away to college in NY and I stayed in PA. We didn't get to see each other that much but did keep in touch. When we did get to see each other we had an amazing time and it was like no time had passed at all. We kept in touch and still do up until this day. After Sarah graduated she moved back home for a little before she got married to Sam. I still have the e-mail she sent me from Mexico when she said her and Sam were engaged. I was SSSOOOOOOO happy for Sarah. I knew she had found the man of her dreams and someone who would love her unconditionally. Sam and Sarah's wedding was beautiful and it was such an honor and privilege to be a part of their special day. It's a day I will never forget. Sarah moved to Minnesota right away with Sam and has been living there ever since. I have gotten to visit her once since she has been out there and hopefully will get the chance to visit her this summer.

Sarah and I have been through a lot and I know she will always be there when I need a shoulder to cry on and someone to talk to. She is one of the strongest women I know and her faith is inspiring. On this extra special day, I send hugs and kisses to Miss Sarah and hope that her birthday is full of great things. May she continue to be blessed. Happy Birthday girl! Love you to pieces!!!!!!!!!

Jimmy & Sara's Birthday

On Saturday we celebrated Jimmy and Sara's (his niece) birthday. Sara turned one, and well Jimmy, he finally turned 26. He is officially as old as I am now.

Sara is such a piece of work. She is walking like a champ. She's starting to talk now too. Well ok, just a couple of words but on Saturday she did say Jamie as clear as could be. You can not turn around without her disappearing. She is way too cute.

Sam (Jimmy's sister) made Sara's birthday cake, the theme was Winnie the Pooh. Isn't that an awesome cake?!?!?!?! Jimmy had a baby cheesecake.
We really had a nice time spending the weekend in Bloom and getting to see the Keller family. Can't wait till next month!
